PSR CONVENTION CONTESTS
PSR Contest Chairman, Bill Jacobs
The Contest Room is, well, sort of the “hub” of most PSR Conventions. Why do I say that? For those of you who have been to many conventions, don't you tend to slip in there between clinics to see if there are any new entries? Or, see if you think that one of your friends has entered a model that will knock your socks off that he or she kept secret from you? Or even more fun; try to guess who entered that model that is a dandy.
In the Contest Rules, the PSR allows the room to be open during judging, which is on Friday night. You may come in and observe-mind you, there shall be no casual chit-chat, but it might be really interesting for you to get a good idea of what the judges look for, so that you can build that next project with those things in mind.
For those of you who haven't attended a convention, or very few, this is even better-perhaps you do not want to enter a contest because you think that only the “pros” know how to do it. Forget that-everybody starts come place, and our judges give really good feedback. Enter something and you will learn something! Or don't enter something this time but sit in on the judging....but you better have a model in the next one!
